Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Care Certificate?
The Care Certificate is a set of 15 standards (plus additional modules) that health and social care workers in England are expected to complete as part of their induction. It was introduced by Skills for Care, Health Education England, and Skills for Health in 2015. Our courses cover all 16 standards mapped to this framework.
Who are your courses designed for?
Our courses are designed for healthcare assistants, support workers, domiciliary carers, care home staff, and agency workers. They are suitable for anyone completing their Care Certificate or undertaking refresher training in health and social care.
How long does each course take to complete?
Course length varies, but most modules can be completed in 1-3 hours of focused study. All courses are self-paced, so you can start and stop whenever it suits you.
Do I get a certificate when I finish?
Yes. A downloadable certificate is available immediately upon successful completion of each course.
Are the courses CPD-aligned?
Yes. Our courses are structured to support continuing professional development (CPD) for care workers. Each course is mapped to recognised standards and frameworks.
How much do the courses cost?
Course prices are displayed on each individual course page. You can browse all available courses on our Courses page.
Can my employer pay for my courses?
Yes. Employers can purchase courses on behalf of their staff. For group or bulk pricing enquiries, please contact us at hello@careproacademy.co.uk.
Do I need any prior qualifications to enrol?
No. Our foundation-level courses are designed for learners with no prior formal qualifications in health and social care. They are suitable for new starters and those refreshing their knowledge.
Can I study on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Our learning platform is fully responsive and works on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. You can study wherever you have an internet connection.
What happens after I complete a course?
Once you finish all course content and pass any assessments, your certificate becomes available immediately from your dashboard. You can download and print it, or share it with your employer.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a 14-day cooling-off period for digital purchases, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Full details are available on our Refund Policy page.
How do I contact support?
You can reach us at hello@careproacademy.co.uk. We aim to respond within 1-2 working days. You can also use the contact form on our Contact page.
Do you offer online and blended learning?
Currently, all our courses are delivered online as self-paced modules. We are exploring blended learning options that combine online content with practical assessments for future courses.
What is the difference between the Care Certificate and CPD training?
The Care Certificate is a specific induction framework for new health and social care workers. CPD (Continuing Professional Development) is the ongoing process of maintaining and developing skills throughout your career. Our Care Certificate courses also count towards your CPD hours.
